“ Showed up on a Saturday at 5 PM and was quickly seated. 30 minutes later, there was a big line. Fantastic food. We were intrigued by the Tomato Pie. After our first bite, we knew why it is so popular. Such a great item. Chicken Pot Pie and Fried Chicken were outstanding. Without a doubt, 5 stars. ”
“ Had a plate of fried chicken - good. Liked the sauce choices. The palmetto cheese fritters were good, but very rich (don’t plan to eat many of them each). The wife enjoyed the tenders. ”
“ Myrtle’s serves up some of the best ribs I've ever tasted, especially with their dry rub—each bite was irresistibly flavorful and tender. Paired with a perfectly crisp waffle and rich, cheesy mac and cheese, it was a meal that hit all the right notes. The food was so satisfying it practically lulled me into a blissful nap afterward. Without a doubt, a 10/10 experience! ”
“ Driving through Knoxville and needed a quick bite. Stumbled upon a Nashville hot chicken salad that hit the spot! The chicken had a good kick, though maybe a touch less sauce next time. The greens were fresh and the blue cheese crumbles added a nice tang. It was a satisfying and surprisingly light lunch fried chicken dish. Our server, Gaby, was friendly and attentive, making the stop even better. Definitely a decent pit stop if you're craving some heat on the road. ”
“ First off, our server Felisa was amazing. So sweet and attentive throughout! We’re not from Knoxville and we were looking for a good dinner. The food here was amazing. We got 2 pieces of white meat fried chicken, biscuits, Mac n cheese, sweet potato lattice fries, a half rack of ribs, chicken tenders, 4 sauces, coleslaw, and a tomato pie. Everything was amazing and impossible for 2 people to finish. There was a small delay with the tomato pie and the Manager even made a point of coming over, apologizing, and taking it off the bill. Just above and beyond what you would expect. Thanks for the great food and experience! ”
“ The Nashville hot chicken was so delicious but HOT in the best ways haha! Try it on the salad and in the sandwich! I tried both ways and it was so good! I liked the idea of how this place was right in the market square area.. perfect for outdoor seating and people watching if you are ever looking for lunch after arriving in Knoxville, headed for Gatlinburg ;) ”
“ Some of THE best southern food I have ever had. Wow. Collards were amazing, mac n cheese needed a lot of salt but the dark meat chicken was insanely juicy and sooo crispy. ”
“ My recent visit to Myrtle’s Chicken Beer in Knoxville was nothing short of phenomenal, earning it a well-deserved five-star review! Nestled in the vibrant Market Square, this spot combines Southern comfort food with a lively, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff greeted us with genuine warmth, and the service was prompt and attentive throughout our meal. I decided to try both the burger and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, and both were absolute winners. The burger was juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor, served on a toasted artisan bun with fresh lettuce, tomato, and a tangy sauce that tied it all together. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, though, stole the show—crispy, golden fried chicken with just the right kick of spice, balanced by house pickles and creamy coleslaw. The portion sizes were generous, and every bite was a testament to their commitment to quality. The craft beer selection was a fantastic complement to the meal, with local brews that paired perfectly with the bold flavors. The vibe was casual yet energetic, making it ideal for a fun night out. Myrtle’s Chicken Beer is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious food and a great time in Knoxville. I’m already looking forward to my next trip back! ”
